According to a report from Kim Tan commune, due to the heavy rains that have lasted for the past few days, the amount of water flowing into the Buoi River from upstream has continuously increased. The water level measured at Kim Tan hydrological station at 11am on August 27 was 12.87m, 0.87m above alert level III.
Rising water caused the Thach Dinh dike to overflow in many locations, causing widespread and localized flooding, cutting off 22/48 villages in Kim Tan commune. Rising floodwaters also cut off 4 traffic routes, including: National Highway 45, Provincial Road 516 through Thach Dinh commune and the old Thanh Tien commune; Provincial Road 523 through the old Thanh Truc commune. Many village roads were also deeply flooded and cut off.

Following the flood situation, on the night of August 26 and early morning of August 27, Kim Tan commune mobilized forces to urgently evacuate households at high risk of being affected to safe places. By 11:00 a.m. on August 27, in flooded areas, 1,106 households with 4,077 people had been evacuated to safe places. The locality is still conducting statistics and assessing the extent of damage.
In addition to the militia and youth, the evacuation of people and property was also supported promptly by forces under the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Police. Kim Tan Commune has also prepared all kinds of necessities, ready to support people when necessary.

At the same time, proactively coordinate with functional forces to set up 24/7 checkpoints in areas with deep flooding and fast-flowing water, absolutely not allowing people and vehicles to enter dangerous areas.
