Ms. Thu has been to Huu Lung and Huu Lien communes (formerly both in Huu Lung district, Lang Son ) many times, but for her, this season the weather is fresher and more pleasant. She is especially impressed with the streams and springs with a characteristic green color, which are extremely beautiful to take pictures of, with lush green rice fields in the distance.

"This is an interesting destination for tourists to experience the National Day holiday," she shared.

Compared to famous tourist areas in the North such as Sa Pa, Moc Chau, Mai Chau, Huu Lung is still pristine, less crowded, bringing a gentle, quiet feeling to visitors.

"This place still has rustic features, not yet commercialized. Besides, the road is convenient, only about 2 hours drive, so when free, wanting to 'heal', my friends and I often go to Huu Lung", Ms. Thu shared.

Ms. Thu and her close friends consider Huu Lung an ideal "healing" destination.

What Ms. Thu enjoyed most about this journey was experiencing for the first time picking sweet, ripe custard apples from the tree, and personally receiving baskets of custard apples transported by pulley from the rocky mountain to the foot of the mountain.

Every August is the time when custard apple orchards in Lang Son are in full season. Lang Son custard apples are famous for their large, beautiful green fruit, pink-white slits, thick flesh, few seeds, fragrant and sweet taste.

After checking in, Thu and her friends moved to Yen Thinh valley to camp. The valley is surrounded by mountains, caves, lakes, streams and green grasslands. Visitors can camp, bathe in the streams, and children can fly kites and play soccer. There is no wifi here, helping people temporarily leave electronic devices and immerse themselves in nature.

"The experience of bathing in streams or immersing yourself in natural springs is also very interesting. The water is clear and cool, making me feel comfortable and pleasant," Ms. Thu shared.

Many tourists compare Yen Thinh valley to "miniature Mongolia" thanks to its endless green grass and peaceful space.

In the evening, the homestay owner where Ms. Thu stayed organized an outdoor party with Huu Lung specialties such as roast duck, crispy roast pork skin, braised pork, black sticky rice cake...

"The food in Huu Lung is delicious, especially the roasted meat with crispy skin, fragrant and rich meat, making every customer nod in approval. Cuisine is also a reason why I return to this land many times," Ms. Thu shared.

The next morning, she visited some nearby tourist attractions such as Bac Mo Dam, Phu The tree and for the first time admired the cluster of ancient trees honored as Vietnam Heritage Trees. There are 7 star apple trees, 5 hundred-year-old banyan trees, large roots, wide canopy, creating a unique check-in scene.

According to Mr. Hung Vi - a tourism worker in Huu Lung and Huu Lien, the locality currently has nearly 40 homestays. The most ideal time to come here is from September to April of the following year, when the weather is cool and fresh.

"From August to mid-September, visitors to Huu Lung are very excited to experience custard apple picking or watch people transporting custard apples using pulleys.

On the occasion of National Day September 2 this year, all my homestays were fully booked, mainly families and small groups of friends, looking for a place to rest, close to nature, not noisy or crowded," said Mr. Vi.

Mr. Vi took guests to experience custard apple picking, take check-in photos at the garden and buy them as gifts.
