At exactly 8 p.m., the A80 parade rehearsal began. Leading the formation was the national emblem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, symbolizing the independence, sovereignty , unity and territorial integrity of the Vietnamese Fatherland. Immediately following were the Party flags, the national flags; the car carrying the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh and the parade groups.
