On the evening of August 24, Ba Dinh Square ( Hanoi ) became the center of attention with the second rehearsal to prepare for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
Tens of thousands of people flocked to the area, cheering as they witnessed more than 16,000 officers, soldiers and modern equipment "layer upon layer" passing the stage in a neat and solemn formation.
After the parades of infantry and People's Public Security, the atmosphere became more explosive when the array of equipment including tanks, missiles, UAVs and many other modern equipment appeared.
The applause and cheers of the people made Ba Dinh Square bustling and bright. This was a rare occasion in many years that many people were able to see with their own eyes modern weapons that were only seen in military documents or images.
Leading the formation is the BM-21 rocket artillery system, a highly mobile weapon with powerful salvo capabilities, demonstrating the strength of Vietnamese artillery.
Immediately afterwards, the improved S-125-VT missile system moved across the stage to the amazement of many people. This modernized version is considered superior, significantly increasing its range and combat effectiveness.
The convoy was followed by the appearance of the Scud operational missile – a long-range ground firepower that was once considered a symbol of the power of rocket artillery.
Next, the T-90S tank - the most modern main battle tank of the Vietnam People's Army, and the Truong Son missile system were controlled in a harmonious coordination, evoking the image of a powerful force, ready to fight to protect the Fatherland.
In particular, people are proud to see “made in Vietnam” equipment such as the XCB-01 armored infantry fighting vehicle, the XTC-02 anti-terrorism vehicle, and modern UAVs. These are the achievements of the defense industry in the process of autonomously researching, designing, and manufacturing modern equipment, contributing to affirming the ability to protect the Fatherland from land, air, and sea.
As the convoy moved to streets such as Nguyen Thai Hoc and Tran Phu, people lined both sides of the road, constantly raising their phones to record the special moment. Many people shared that this was the first time they had seen the modern weapons of the Vietnam People's Army right in the heart of the capital, a memorable experience that brought deep pride.
The second training session was almost as large as the official holiday of September 2. The mobilization of all units, especially the motor vehicle unit with the participation of many types of modern equipment, created a special attraction for the people.

On the upcoming National Day, the parades will spread out in 7 directions after passing through Ba Dinh Square on many central streets of Hanoi.
People can watch the parade live on the streets, or through LED screen systems installed in many public places.
