Recently, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Lam Dong province - Cao Thi Thanh discussed: Of the total of about 80,000 hectares of rubber grown in Lam Dong, the majority are smallholder rubber. According to the assessment, rubber is mainly grown on unsuitable land, with a business cycle of only 6 years, so economic efficiency is low. Currently, 1 hectare of rubber brings in an income of 23 - 35 million VND, lower than other crops.

Therefore, allowing the conversion of rubber growing land to investment purposes in industrial parks and industrial clusters according to the planning or adjusting and supplementing the planning and plan for using rubber growing land to industrial park and industrial cluster land will be more effective.
