Thanh Ha Pottery Ancestor Commemoration Festival is a traditional festival held annually on the 9th and 10th of the 7th lunar month, to pay tribute to the ancestors who created the pottery profession, and at the same time educate the descendants and younger generations of the village about the origin, history, as well as the awareness of preserving traditional craft villages.
Thanh Ha pottery village is located about 2km west of Hoi An ancient town center, attracting many tourists.
This year, the festival will take place over 2 days, August 31 - September 1, with 4 ceremonial activities and 12 festival activities.
The highlight is the Opening Ceremony taking place at 8:00 a.m. on August 31 at the intersection of Duy Tan and Pham Phan streets, Thanh Ha pottery village.
Before the Opening Ceremony, there will be an inauguration and signboard installation of the "Ceramic Road" project - a project to celebrate the success of the Hoi An Tay Ward Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, on Nguyen Khuyen Street.
Up to now, Thanh Ha pottery village still maintains the manual production method.
The procession of the pottery ancestor's palanquin from Lum Ba Dang temple area - Thanh Chiem block to Nam Dieu ancestor's temple area takes place from 6am on September 1st.
After the palanquin procession is the main ceremony at the Nam Dieu Ancestor Temple, held according to traditional rituals.

Thanh Ha Pottery Village, one of the oldest pottery villages in Vietnam with an age of more than 500 years, is located right on the bank of Thu Bon River, about 2km west of Hoi An ancient town center, now in Hoi An Tay ward, Da Nang city.
Up to now, Thanh Ha pottery village still maintains its unique and manual production method, which is shaping by hand or using a foot pedal, without molds, without enameling and firing in a traditional wood kiln.
In 2019, Thanh Ha pottery was recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
