On the morning of August 24, in Hanoi, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held a conference for leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front to meet with outstanding representatives of all walks of life.

Politburo members: President Luong Cuong; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Party Central Committee Secretary Do Van Chien, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Party Central Committee Secretary Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council attended the conference.

Also attending were comrade Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office; Party Central Committee members: Nguyen Thi Thanh, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly ; leaders and former leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, socio-political organizations, mass organizations and 300 delegates representing people from 34 provinces and cities.
