On the afternoon of August 25, the leader of Hai Phong Drainage Company Limited said that to ensure drainage in urban areas to cope with storm No. 5, the unit has operated pumping stations and tidal sluices to regulate and lower the water level in ditches and lakes to the lowest possible level. Test-run the pumps to ensure good operation in all conditions when there is rain and storms. Enterprises organized to clear all drainage outlets, collect garbage at frog-shaped manholes; remove vegetables, duckweed, and obstacles in ditches and regulating lakes; prepare auxiliary flaps and sandbags at tidal sluices.

The Construction and Transportation Enterprise prepares all available vehicles, cranes, mobile pumps with a capacity of 1,000 ^m3 /hour, and arranges sludge suction trucks and pipeline cleaning trucks to be ready during the storm. Pumping station workers work 24/7 according to assigned shifts...
