Handing over more than 250 motorbikes to the Commune Military Command under the Hanoi Capital Command

On the afternoon of August 25, the General Department of Logistics and Engineering held a conference to hand over two-wheeled motorbikes to the commune-level Military Commands under the Hanoi Capital Command.

Attending the conference were comrade Le Hong Son, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee. On behalf of the General Department of Logistics and Engineering, there were Major General Do Anh Tuan, Deputy Director of the General Department; Major General Nguyen Hoang Nam, Party Secretary, Deputy Director of the Department of Motorcycles and Transport (General Department of Logistics and Engineering).

Representatives of the Department of Motor Vehicles and Transport (General Department of Logistics and Engineering) and the Hanoi Capital Command signed the vehicle handover minutes.

Implementing the direction of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense, from July 2025, the General Department of Logistics and Technology has urgently deployed a plan to purchase and equip more than 6,000 motorbikes for commune-level military commands nationwide.

Accordingly, units in the Hanoi Capital Command are equipped with 252 motorbikes, including 166 gasoline motorbikes and 86 electric motorbikes. The types of vehicles are selected on the basis of ensuring reliability, durability, ease of use and convenience in technical maintenance.

Major General Nguyen Dinh Luu, Deputy Commander of the Hanoi Capital Command, spoke at the conference.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Do Anh Tuan emphasized: The handed-over motorbikes are not only material assets, but also demonstrate the attention of the Party and State, the determination of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to build and consolidate strong local armed forces; support officers of the Commune-level Military Commands to promptly mobilize at all times and places, to each hamlet, alley, and residential group to propagate, mobilize, grasp the situation, contributing to building a solid people's heart position.

Major General Do Anh Tuan requested the Hanoi Capital Command to direct agencies and units to manage and use vehicles strictly and in accordance with regulations; vehicle users must meet all conditions as prescribed by the State and the Ministry of National Defense, and use them effectively, safely, economically and in a safe manner. Each officer and soldier must consider the vehicle provided as a valuable asset of the unit, regularly preserve, maintain and repair it according to the manufacturer's recommendations and the instructions of the Department of Motor Vehicles and Transport.
