Tuyen Quang examines and provides free medicine to people in the highlands

Tuyen Quang Provincial Department of Health organizes free health check-ups for people in Phu Linh highland commune.

This is the fourth program in the plan to provide free health check-ups, consultations and medicine to people in mountainous areas organized by the Department of Health of Tuyen Quang province. Previously, the Department of Health of Tuyen Quang province implemented this program in Thanh Thuy, Thuan Hoa and Linh Ho communes.

In order to help people enjoy high-quality medical services, the Department of Health of Tuyen Quang province has brought to the program many modern medical equipment such as: Ultrasound machine; X-ray machine; fundus examination machine, vision measurement; electrocardiogram machine; blood and urine test.

People get health checkups using modern medical equipment.

On the morning of August 25, thousands of people in Phu Linh commune received health check-ups, consultations, electronic health records, and free medicine.

The program has practical significance in improving health care for people in mountainous areas and ethnic minority areas, while contributing to raising community awareness in disease prevention and health care.

After the health check, people are given free medicine.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Du, Director of Vi Xuyen Regional Medical Center, said that organizing free medical examinations, consultations, and medicine distribution helps people detect diseases early, especially chronic diseases such as cardiovascular, respiratory, and diabetes.

“The program contributes to raising people’s awareness of disease prevention and proactive health care. With the participation of a team of doctors and nurses with many specialties and modern equipment, people at the grassroots level can also access quality medical services, reducing the difficulty of having to go to higher-level hospitals,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Du emphasized.
