Da Nang sends officials to training at Singapore International Financial Center

Da Nang City has just signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation to develop an international financial center and awarded scholarships to send Da Nang City People's Committee officials to study at the Singapore International Financial Center.

On the afternoon of July 2, the People's Committee of Da Nang City awarded a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in developing an international financial center in Da Nang with the consortium of Terne Holdings Group and The One Destination Joint Stock Company.

According to the memorandum of understanding, Da Nang City and this consortium will coordinate to research and propose specific and outstanding policy mechanisms to develop the Vietnam International Financial Center in Da Nang City associated with green finance, financial technology and trade finance.

Terne Holdings and The One Destination joint venture commits to invest in licensed projects at the International Financial Center and Da Nang Free Trade Zone; support the promotion of Da Nang to international investors, coordinate with management agencies to attract more investors and multinational financial institutions to Da Nang.

On this occasion, the joint venture of Terne Holdings Group and The One Destination awarded 10 scholarships to officials of the People's Committee of Da Nang City to study in Singapore at the International Finance Center, National University of Singapore; Maybank Commercial - Investment Bank; InvestStream Capital Market in August.

In the future, the joint venture will continue to support Da Nang City officials to study and intern at major international financial centers around the world .

Previously, on July 1, Da Nang City also established a preparatory committee for the management and operation of the Vietnam International Financial Center in Da Nang, headed by Chairman of the City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet.

The preparatory committee prepares the necessary infrastructure, human resources and services for the Vietnam International Financial Center in Da Nang City to operate; advises on the legal basis and establishes and operates the executive body apparatus.
