Director of Phuoc An Port Investment and Exploitation Petroleum Joint Stock Company Truong Hoang Hai shared that Phuoc An Port will focus on investing in green port infrastructure, modernizing equipment using clean energy with most of the operating system converted to electrification.
In addition, Phuoc An Port will proactively connect and accompany shipping lines, logistics enterprises and partners in the supply chain, together creating an international green transport corridor. This is not only an inevitable trend, but also a driving force to help improve the competitiveness and position of Vietnam's seaport industry on the global trade map.
Dong Nai will complete a modern, synchronous import-export service system, connecting with seaports and Long Thanh International Airport. In particular, the province is studying and developing a project for a free trade zone in Dong Nai province associated with Long Thanh International Airport and Phuoc An Port with a scale of about 8.2 thousand hectares. Dong Nai free trade zone is expected to be established with 4 functional zones, including: High-tech industrial production zone; Logistics zone; Financial and commercial services zone; Innovation zone.
In addition, the new Dong Nai province still has a lot of room to develop urban infrastructure, border trade infrastructure, economic zone infrastructure, industrial parks, industrial clusters, as well as develop digital infrastructure associated with e-commerce. At the same time, priority is given to training human resources with qualifications, skills, and professionalism to meet the requirements of rapid and sustainable socio-economic development.
In recent times, the locality has focused on investing in Hoa Lu Border Gate Economic Zone in terms of roads, joint control stations, cargo staging areas, etc. Thereby, creating favorable conditions for activities in the economic zone, especially state management of import and export activities.

Currently, the province has 9 shopping malls and 19 supermarkets, along with chains of convenience stores and mini supermarkets expanding in districts and cities in the province, including remote areas. In addition, the province has also strongly developed chains of convenience stores belonging to the systems: Bach Hoa Xanh, Winmart, Co.opFood, GS25, FamilyMart..., mini supermarkets, and convenience stores. In parallel, the province has 186 traditional markets and more than tens of thousands of business households providing essential goods for people in the province.
Director of Co.opmart Dong Xoai Nguyen Thi Bach Van shared that after more than 16 years of establishment and development, Co.opmart Dong Xoai is not only an extension of the Saigon Co.op system in stabilizing the market, but also a bridge for Vietnamese goods to reach consumers and gradually affirming its position as the oldest pure Vietnamese retailer in the area. Over 95% of the products sold in the supermarket's self-service area are made in Vietnam.
“The merger of Dong Nai and Binh Phuoc provinces opens up great opportunities for businesses to expand their markets and customer base. At the same time, it is also an opportunity for local goods to be promoted and consumed more. Dong Nai province has only 3 Co.opmart supermarkets in operation, which will be an advantage in connecting to better serve customers, proactively sharing and cooperating with local OCOP product suppliers (One Commune One Product Program) to promote the promotion and circulation of goods in the province,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Bach Van emphasized.

Mr. Hoang Son (residing in Tam Hiep ward) hopes that, in order to promote sustainable trade development, Dong Nai province needs to focus on developing digital economic infrastructure, innovating technology, sales methods, focusing on linking to develop local strengths and bring products closer to consumers inside and outside the province through modern and safe consumption and retail channels.
