The project marks an important turning point in the application of modern technology to deep processing of agricultural products, contributing to increasing the value of Vietnamese agricultural products in a sustainable and internationally integrated direction.
The Tetra Recart® line is an advanced paper packaging solution that can sterilize and extend the shelf life of food without preservatives or refrigeration. High-speed processing technology combined with heat sterilization helps to preserve the flavor, texture and nutrition of the product. With a capacity of 6,000 boxes/hour, the line helps to optimize production costs, minimize waste, and meet the increasing demand for convenient, safe and environmentally friendly products.
Agricultural products such as sweet corn, pineapple juice, beans of all kinds, etc. will be packaged in lightweight, recyclable packaging, in line with global consumption trends. This is the first production line in Vietnam to apply Tetra Recart® technology, and will officially go into operation this July at the Doveco Son La factory, an important processing center in the Northwest region.

Mr. Dinh Cao Khue, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Doveco, said: “Today’s event is not only the inauguration of a new production line, but also the beginning of a vision of integration, innovation and responsible development. Tetra Recart® helps to improve the quality, output and brand of Doveco, while ensuring stable output for agricultural products of Son La and the entire Northwest region, contributing to sustainable development.
“We are committed to not only producing high-quality products but also developing in harmony with the farming community. Doveco will continue to purchase agricultural products stably, make transparent payments and cooperate with farmers in the long term,” Mr. Khue affirmed.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Adolfo Orive, CEO of Tetra Pak Global, emphasized: Tetra Recart® line is not just a new packaging technology, but the result of a shared vision based on innovation, collaboration and commitment to sustainable development. In the context of the thriving food industry, consumers are increasingly demanding in terms of quality, convenience and sustainability, this solution helps businesses improve production efficiency, expand markets and better meet consumer expectations.
“We believe that innovation must serve consumers and drive sustainable development. Partnerships like the one between Tetra Pak and Doveco are the drivers of real progress, for the benefit of the entire food ecosystem,” said Adolfo Orive.
At the event, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Thanh Nam affirmed that this is one of the important steps forward, the right strategy in developing fruit trees and agricultural deep processing industry, not only for Son La but also for the whole country.

Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam said that with more than 80,000 hectares of fruit trees and an output of over 500,000 tons per year, Son La is a locality with great potential to develop raw material areas associated with processing. Doveco's new production line is a clear demonstration of the efforts to attract investment, build a closed value chain, contributing to increasing added value and income for farmers.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Thanh Nam also requested Son La province to continue directing the development of concentrated raw material areas, promote research on new crop varieties, invest in logistics systems and transfer science and technology.
“The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment will continue to accompany localities and businesses, including a project to coordinate with Doveco to develop 50,000 hectares of high-quality raw material areas in Son La,” said Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam.
Sharing at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong, Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee, said: In the context that the whole country is implementing major resolutions on institutional reform, science and technology, digital transformation and international integration, the putting into operation of the Tetra Recart® production line in Son La is a clear demonstration of the effectiveness of attracting investment in high-tech agriculture, circular economy and deep processing.

Mr. Cong also said: After 10 years of developing fruit trees, Son La has formed a large raw material area with nearly 120,000 hectares of perennial trees, of which more than 85,000 hectares are fruit trees, with an output of more than 510,000 tons/year. The province has built more than 2,000 safe production chains, granted growing area codes and intellectual property protection for 31 key products. These results create an important foundation for businesses like Doveco to confidently invest and expand production.
Mr. Cong expressed his confidence that the new production line with a capacity of 6,000 boxes/hour, modern technology, environmental safety and high operating efficiency, will contribute to increasing the value of Son La agricultural products, opening up a new development direction for the domestic food processing industry.
“The Son La provincial government is committed to continuing to accompany businesses, supporting the development of concentrated raw material areas, promoting links with cooperatives and farming households, and creating favorable conditions for sustainable development of high-tech agricultural projects,” affirmed the Vice Chairman of the Son La Provincial People's Committee.
