At the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Hoang Xuan Chien said that the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense has sent invitations to the Ministries of National Defense of 8 countries: Russia, China, Laos, Cambodia, Cuba, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan to attend the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2. At the same time, 5 countries (Russia, China, Laos, Cambodia, Belarus) have been invited to send forces to participate in the parade at the celebration.
According to the report, so far, the Cuban side has responded to the invitation, stating that the Minister of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces will attend the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 in Hanoi . The Lao and Cambodian sides also said they support the policy of sending forces to participate in the parade at the anniversary at the invitation of the Vietnamese side.
The Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense's invitation to five countries to send troops to participate in the parade at the anniversary is an activity demonstrating the traditional friendship, solidarity, and attachment between the Vietnamese people and army with traditional friendly countries, while affirming Vietnam's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, diversification, and being a friend and reliable partner with all countries.
The military blocs are training together to prepare for the parade.

Also on July 9, the military blocs continued to train to prepare for the upcoming parade. In addition to the parade, at the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, Vietnam held its first ever sea parade.
General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense, revealed that the forces participating in the sea parade include: Navy, Coast Guard, Border Guard, Fisheries Surveillance, Militia and Self-Defense Forces participating in protecting the sea and islands, and Navy Air Force.
Previously, the parade to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification day saw the participation of the armies of three countries: Laos, Cambodia and China. The armies from these three countries participated in the parade and marched together with the Vietnamese army, demonstrating the traditional friendship, solidarity and attachment between Vietnam and its neighboring countries.
