On the morning of September 2, the solemn ceremony, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) was held at Ba Dinh Square and several streets of Hanoi , attracting great attention from the Swiss media.

Immediately after the Anniversary ended, many major news websites of this European country such as SwissInfo, BlueNews or Linth-Zeintung posted articles praising the achievements that Vietnam has made over the past 80 years.

The article on SwissInfo is titled “Vietnam celebrates 80 years of independence with large-scale parade.” According to the article, the parade to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day is not only a demonstration of military strength, but also a heroic testament to the journey of building and protecting the country through countless challenges.

The ceremony took place early in the morning. Among the participating units were military vehicles and artillery units of the Vietnam People's Army.

Communist Party General Secretary To Lam gave an opening speech at the celebration before hundreds of thousands of people, many of whom camped overnight on crowded streets to ensure front-row seats.

General Secretary To Lam emphasized: "Our nation has overcome countless difficulties and challenges; our country has transformed from a colony into an independent, unified nation, steadily moving towards modernity and deep integration; its position and prestige are increasingly affirmed in the international arena."

In the article in the Linth-Zeintung, the author mentioned Ba Dinh Square - a historical place where President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on September 2, 1945.

Ahead of this momentous celebration, the capital city of Hanoi was decorated with countless Vietnamese flags. For Vietnam, a country that is expanding its partnerships, the celebration is an opportunity to celebrate its nation-building journey, with growth of more than 7% by 2024 - one of the fastest in the region.

The event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day took place under the witness of many international guests, including General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith, President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel, President of the Cambodian Senate Hun Sen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China Zhao Leji...
