The film “Nguyen Ai Quoc, Ho Chi Minh - Journey to find the shape of the country” was produced and broadcast on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2. The film will officially air at 8:10 p.m. on September 3 in a special VTV program on VTV1 channel.
Regarding this special work, Vietnam Television said that, based on Vietnamese and international archival sources, the film explores the great values in the life and career of Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh on the path of the Vietnamese people's struggle for independence, freedom, peace , unification, democracy and prosperity.
The film was produced with the aim of becoming valuable historical footage to help the public understand the mark of President Ho Chi Minh on the journey he took to find a way to save the country; about a great personality, about his portrait, thoughts and life. The following generations are still steadfast in the path that President Ho Chi Minh and the nation have chosen, realizing the aspiration to build a strong, prosperous and happy Vietnam.
To make the film, the film crew tried to search for and collect original documents in archives, museums, and libraries in many places around the world and in Vietnam with the desire to bring the audience the most authentic emotions, especially documents written directly by Uncle Ho or with his handwriting.

VTV's Foreign Television Department once sent a crew to film and obtain documentary images about President Ho Chi Minh's revolutionary activities in France and China. After research, the crew learned that there is currently a valuable amount of secret documents about President Ho Chi Minh in Russia and the United States that have been declassified. Therefore, the Foreign Television Department requested permission to film and access the documents in these two locations.
Soviet Russia – the homeland of the October Revolution, the country of the great Lenin – is where President Ho Chi Minh spent the longest time (from June 1923 to October 1924; from June 1927 to November 1927 and from June 1934 to October 1938, a total of more than 6 years). Russia had a great position and influence on the revolutionary life of President Ho Chi Minh. Stories about this important period will be told through archival documents in many cities of Russia and the perspective of international experts. In addition, the film will also bring to the audience touching, little-known stories about the short time he worked in the US…
