For more than 20 years, he has never been far from my arms. Yet he has been able to carry out an important mission for the country, can be independent and trained in a military environment. My family is very honored and proud."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien traveled from Lam Dong to Ho Chi Minh City on September 2nd, and was present at the airport to welcome her two daughters, Nguyen Ngoc Thao Uyen (born in 2001), a soldier of the Female Special Forces, and Nguyen Ngoc Thao Van (born in 2005), a soldier of the Southern Female Guerrilla Forces.

Holding her two children in her arms, Mrs. Hien smiled and teared up: "Watching my children on TV, I felt both love and worry, but above all, I was moved and proud. During the months away from home, I always wished my children good health and to complete their tasks well. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, a female special forces soldier, emotionally recounted her training days in Hanoi, from the days of standing in the rain with her sisters to the scorching hot days.

In particular, the moment of walking on Ba Dinh Square, passing by Uncle Ho's Mausoleum and walking in the arms and enthusiastic cheers of the people of the Capital, that is the most profound memory for Thu Thuy.

“Since performing missions A50 and A80, it has been more than 8 months since I saw my mother. I miss her and home very much. What I look forward to most is seeing my relatives,” Thu Thuy confided.
