Mr. Nguyen Duc Thuy - Chairman of LPBank's Board of Directors presented the decision to appoint Mr. Gerard Albadalejo, a Spanish coach, as head coach of Ninh Binh FC for the 2025/26 V.League season.
Coach Gerard is no stranger to Spanish experts. He has led teams in professional leagues such as Lleida Esportiu, Orihuela or Badalona, and has experience working with many young players. In the Spanish King's Cup, he helped Lleida create a surprise by eliminating Real Sociedad, a traditional team in La Liga. Gerard's team also played fairly against Atletico Madrid of coach Diego Simeone. Although unable to create a surprise, Lleida still left its mark with disciplined play, high pressing and unflinching fighting spirit against the famous team from the capital Madrid.
Before signing the contract with Ninh Binh , Coach Gerard spent more than two months researching Vietnamese football and opponents in the V.League. This is a sign of careful preparation by both the coach and the team. Along with him, a team of five Spanish assistants were also present to support professional work: from fitness, goalkeeper to data analysis and injury recovery.

Although they have just been promoted, Ninh Binh FC has shown clear ambition in their first season in V.League. The club has recruited a series of quality domestic players such as Duc Chien, Chau Ngoc Quang, Dung Quang Nho, Tran Bao Toan and the V.League champion striker Gustavo Henrique. Spanish foreign players have been added, following the synchronous direction of the coaching staff.
