Leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front chaired the conference

On the afternoon of July 9, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held an expanded conference of Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and cities to promptly grasp, exchange, discuss and propose solutions to overcome difficulties and obstacles, ensuring that the system of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations after the reorganization will operate effectively, efficiently and effectively in the coming time.

At the conference, comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front emphasized that in implementing the conclusions of the Central Committee and reorganizing the apparatus of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and the State, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has proactively coordinated with member organizations to develop plans and review the organizational structure of the apparatus.

As a result, the number of staff has been reorganized and reduced from 284 to 159, a decrease of 55.98%; from 2,720 to 2,185, a decrease of 19.67%. As of June 30, the current number of staff of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Central Committee of socio-political organizations was 986 people, a decrease from 36 specialized departments and units under 5 agencies; there are currently 19 departments and units under the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Up to this point, there has been sufficient political, legal and practical basis for the apparatus to come into operation from July 1. The Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front has also issued decisions to establish the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of the provinces and cities after the arrangement and merger; recognized 3,077 committee members of 34 provinces and cities; recognized 327 delegates participating in the standing committees of 34 provinces and cities; recognized the position of chairman for 33/34 provinces and cities ( Quang Tri province has a vacancy); recognized 22/34 localities with a deputy secretary of the provincial Party Committee who is also chairman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

Up to now, 34/34 provinces and cities have completed the arrangement of advisory and support agencies of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the provincial and municipal levels, gradually stabilizing and putting them into operation.

Comrade Do Van Chien said that, according to the Central Committee's direction, it is necessary to reorganize mass organizations in a streamlined manner and reduce the number of mass organizations. Therefore, localities need to clearly understand the operation of mass organizations in each locality and give opinions, suggestions and recommendations on reorganization solutions in the coming time.

"It is necessary to ensure the front operates smoothly, effectively and efficiently," the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front requested.
