Deploying works to serve the high-speed railway project passing through Khanh Hoa

On the afternoon of July 9, Mr. Tran Hoa Nam - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting with leaders of departments, branches and sectors to listen to reports on the implementation of the North-South High-Speed ​​Railway Project, the section passing through Khanh Hoa province.

Vice President Tran Hoa Nam delivered concluding remarks at the meeting.

According to the report of the Department of Construction, the North-South high-speed railway project, the section passing through Khanh Hoa province, has its starting point in Dai Lanh commune, bordering Dak Lak province; its ending point is in Phuoc Ha commune, bordering Lam Dong province. The project passes through 29 communes and wards of the province; the total length of the route through the province is about 191.8km. On the route, there are 2 passenger stations Dien Khanh (located in Dien Lac commune) and Thap Cham (in Bao An ward); 1 Ninh Hoa cargo station in Bac Ninh Hoa commune to connect and transfer goods with Van Phong Economic Zone; 4 maintenance stations are located in Van Ninh, Cam An, Ninh Hai and Phuoc Ha communes; there are 2 depots: Dien Khanh Depot located in Dien Dien commune and Van Phong Depot located in Bac Ninh Hoa commune.

Concluding the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoa Nam requested the Provincial People's Committee Office to urgently advise the Provincial People's Committee to seek the opinion of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to decide on the establishment of a Steering Committee for Site Clearance and a Working Group to assist the Steering Committee for Site Clearance to implement the High-speed Railway Project on the North-South axis, the section passing through Khanh Hoa province. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoa Nam assigned the People's Committees of communes and wards where the project passes through to urgently review and count the number of households that need resettlement; propose the area, scale, and total investment to build the resettlement area to ensure the resettlement needs of the project. The Department of Construction deploys a preliminary dossier on the site clearance boundary, including: Route direction, station, depot, maintenance station, etc. so that the locality has a basis to determine the number of affected households that need resettlement; preside over reviewing and researching procedures to advise the Provincial People's Committee to assign investors to carry out compensation and resettlement support, including the relocation of technical infrastructure to implement the high-speed railway. Mr. Tran Hoa Nam also assigned management boards to work and survey localities, thereby proposing locations and construction scales of resettlement areas to serve the project.
