Prime Minister attends opening ceremony of ASEAN Police Football Tournament 2025

TPO - On the evening of July 9, at Hang Day Stadium (Hanoi), the 2025 ASEAN Police Football Tournament took place.

Attending the opening ceremony were Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security ; along with leaders of the Party, State, leaders of ministries, departments, central and local branches; representatives of Public Security leaders of units and localities; leaders of the Vietnam Olympic Committee, Vietnam People's Public Security Sports Association; Vietnam Football Federation (VFF); Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) and representatives of leaders of accompanying units and enterprises. In addition, there was the presence of more than 20 Ambassadors and representatives of Embassies and diplomatic missions in Vietnam.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Minister of Public Security emphasized: "Promoting the spirit of solidarity, honesty, and nobility, I believe that the 2025 ASEAN Police Football Tournament will be a great success, contributing to fans with good football matches and beautiful goals; leaving a strong impression deeply demonstrating the solidarity, close and effective cooperation between the police forces of the countries, to protect the peaceful life of the people for the peace of humanity; continuing to affirm that Vietnam is always ready to be a friend, a reliable partner, an active and responsible member of the international community, always striving, increasing contributions, maintaining peace and stability in the region and the world".

Also at the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Minister Luong Tam Quang presented flowers and souvenir flags to the 8 Heads of Delegations of the participating teams. The opening ceremony was elaborately and grandly staged, combining traditional and modern music, imbued with the cultural identity of ASEAN countries. In particular, the special art performance of the festival drum, combined with lion, lion and dragon dances imbued with Vietnamese culture with the theme "Aspiration to shine" - performed by nearly 600 students of the People's Police Academy - Ministry of Public Security.
