Many people buy lychees to eat gradually, but after a few days, they regret it because the lychees have dark skin, are soft and mushy, and are no longer as fresh as before. Ways to preserve lychees shared by many housewives on social networks have attracted thousands of interactions and shares. What is special is that these little tips help the lychees stay fresh for a long time without the need for preservatives or complicated tools.

Ms. Luong Hoai Thu (in Hanoi ) said that the way she is using to preserve fabric can be done by anyone, it is not complicated but effective. She prepares a large sheet of newspaper and a plastic box containing enough fabric to preserve. After cutting the fabric close to the stem, she arranges it neatly into layers to save space. Next, she places the remaining newspaper on the fabric, making sure no side is exposed, covers it and puts it in the refrigerator.

"When eating, people open it up, take out the fabric, then cover it with newspaper and it's done. This way, the fabric will keep its shell fresh for 2-3 weeks. If you want the stem to stay fresh for about 3-4 days to give as a gift, people should put the fabric on a mat so that when incubating it won't fall to the floor. People wash a big towel, wring it out to cover the fabric stem. Note, the fabric needs to be kept in a cool, low-light place and should not turn on the fan or air conditioner," Ms. Thu shared.

Another social media account also shared a method of preserving lychees for a long time that many people have followed. Similar to Ms. Thu's method, this person instructed people to place a dry, soft, absorbent towel at the bottom of the box. Then, place each lychee in the box and use another towel to rub it in water and wring it out thoroughly, leaving the towel just slightly damp and then cover the lychee.

"Everyone closes the lid of the box and stores it in the refrigerator. Every 2 days, check to see if the cloth at the bottom of the box is damp. If it is damp, replace it with a dry cloth. This method also helps keep the lychee fresh and juicy," the woman said.

With the right way to preserve lychee, people can not only avoid waste but also enjoy the cool sweetness of lychee all week long. If you also have good tips to keep lychee crispy and delicious, please share in the comment section below.
