On the afternoon of July 10 in Hanoi, a meaningful signing ceremony took place between the Vietnam Youth Startup Support Center (SYS Vietnam), the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development (eComDX) under the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ) and the Vietnam Association of Youth with Disabilities.

The three entities have jointly established a comprehensive cooperation program to train digital skills, support startups and create sustainable employment opportunities for people with disabilities in the digital economy .

This is a testament to the efforts to empower and create equal conditions for those who still have limited access to information, education and career opportunities, namely the disabled community.

The program is part of the project “Improving digital business capacity for 20 million Vietnamese youth” jointly implemented by SYS Vietnam, TikTok Vietnam and Nhan Dan Newspaper. For people with disabilities, the program not only opens the door to access knowledge but also is an opportunity to affirm their value and role in modern society. The digital environment, if exploited properly, can completely become a space for vocational training, work and livelihood development in an equal and autonomous manner.

At the signing ceremony, representatives of the three units affirmed their commitment to organizing practical training courses, providing diverse learning resources, and building an ecosystem connecting content creation and product distribution on digital platforms such as TikTok Shop, livestream, and affiliate marketing.

This support model does not stop at theoretical training, but also extends to building a business model suitable to one's abilities, accessing technology, markets and capital, as well as social media and honoring typical start-up examples in the disabled community.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Phan Huy Khoi, Director of SYS Vietnam Center, emphasized that people with disabilities not only need but absolutely deserve to be given the opportunity to study, work and live on their own abilities.

“People with disabilities need opportunities to learn, to work, to live by their own labor. By joining the Disabled Youth Association and eComDX, we hope to realize the spirit of Resolution 57 and Resolution 68 of the Politburo through specific, practical actions every day,” Mr. Khoi shared.

This cooperation agreement also establishes a strategic tripartite model, closely linking the state, businesses and social organizations. According to Mr. Bui Huy Hoang, Deputy Director of eComDX Center - Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade), bringing people with disabilities into the network of beneficiaries of the program not only contributes to creating sustainable social values but also enriches Vietnam's e-commerce ecosystem.

In particular, digital technology, when widely popularized, can help people with disabilities not only gain new skills, but also form an entrepreneurial mindset, expand their livelihoods proactively and independently. Platforms such as TikTok Shop, affiliate marketing or livestream sales are typical examples of digital spaces where people with disabilities can participate equally, without being hindered by physical limitations.

According to Mr. Pham Van Thanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Disabled Youth Association, emphasized: "The Association does not want and in fact is not a burden, but only wants to contribute, live a useful life, have a job, a livelihood as well as the opportunity to take control of their lives, that is the aspiration of millions of disabled people in Vietnam."

Statistics show that Vietnam currently has more than 6.2 million people with disabilities, but most of them do not have the opportunity to learn a trade, access technology or start a business. The cooperation with SYS Vietnam and eComDX is expected to open up new channels of access, gradually bringing the aspirations of people with disabilities closer to reality, and more importantly, building a community of people with disabilities who are autonomous, confident and deeply integrated into the digital economic environment.

Immediately after the signing ceremony, the first training program was launched with the participation of many experts in the fields of e-commerce and technology. Here, students with disabilities are given access to essential skills such as: building a personal content channel, choosing products suitable for affiliate marketing, organizing livestreams, applying AI in video production, and using data analysis tools to optimize communication and revenue.

The special feature of the program is the training model that combines theory and practice. Students directly experience the digital content production environment in a real studio, from generating ideas, writing scripts, filming videos, organizing livestreams to receiving feedback and suggestions from instructors. This not only helps students master the tools, but also builds confidence to work professionally on digital platforms.

In addition to technical skills, the program also incorporates content on AI ethics, policies of digital platforms like TikTok, as well as content standards and legitimate monetization mechanisms. This helps students understand both the technology and the legal corridor, thereby participating in the digital environment safely and effectively.

The success stories of people like KOC LinhDLOF or Tiktoker “Chuyen Xe Lan” - disabled people who have been spreading inspiration through livestream and video content are proof that technology is no longer a barrier, but a lever for the desire to live and affirm values.

The program "Improving digital business capacity for 20 million Vietnamese youth" was launched in 2022 and has so far trained nearly 8,000 youth through online classes and field training./.
