While most candidates taking the 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi are taken care of by their families, this male student had to take his younger sister to the school gate and ask volunteers to look after her so he could finish the test on time while waiting for his mother to arrive later.

The story of this male student is also very special. He is 4 years older than this year's contestant. Born in 2006, but due to family circumstances, Duc had to stop studying in the middle of the first semester of grade 8.

When he was accepted back to school after a period of interruption, Duc had to continue studying the new generaleducation program instead of the 2006 program like when he left school. But with high determination, Duc tried much harder than his friends.

Talking about the results of the 10th grade entrance exam, Duc said he was very happy because he tried his best and passed his first choice. He only felt a little regretful that he could not be admitted to the 10th grade specialized in IT. According to Duc, it was probably because he planned to study for the specialized school entrance exam too late and spent little time studying.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Loan, Principal of Dich Vong Hau Secondary School, shared: "The teachers are very happy that our students passed their first choice, but with Duc's result, the school is much happier because we understand that to achieve this result, Duc had to go through a period of effort and try much harder than other students."

On the fanpage of Dich Vong Hau Secondary School, a post was dedicated to congratulate Duc to spread good values to the school's students with the content: "Duc did not disappoint the expectations of teachers, family and friends with a very proud result. Hopefully today's results will be a solid launch pad for his dreams to fly high, fly far and shine even brighter in the future".

Ms. Loan said that on July 11, the school will also hold a ceremony to honor students who achieved high results in this year's 10th grade entrance exam, and Nguyen Manh Duc is one of them.

Previously, Thanh Nien Newspaper had an article about this special "candidate" in the stressful 10th grade entrance exam in Hanoi. While most candidates are picked up and taken care of by their parents, Duc, despite being busy with the most important exam in his student life, still did not forget his duty as an older brother to his beloved younger sister.

Many comments expressed gratitude and sympathy for this candidate, because before the exam there was not only competition and pressure but also love. Many commented that this was the most touching image of this year's exam season.

This candidate also made the Hanoi Department of Education and Training very touched because of his spirit and determination.

That is female student Nguyen Kim Giang, who had an appendectomy the night after the first exam day but still tried to take the final exam even though her family was very worried. The exam center provided maximum support by arranging medical staff on duty to assist her when necessary.

As a result, Giang was admitted to Phung Khac Khoan High School - Thach That 2 according to his first choice.
