Accordingly, Khanh Hoa currently owns 257 cultural heritages that have been ranked, an impressive number that affirms the province's position on the cultural map of Vietnam. Notably, there are 3 intangible cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO (Southern amateur music, Cham traditional pottery); 3 special national monuments (Po Nagar Tower, Po Klong Garai Tower, Hoa Lai Tower).
The locality owns 33 National Monuments, including 5 National Treasures being preserved locally (Khanh Son Lithophone Collection, Hoa Lai Stele, King Po Rome Relief, Phuoc Thien Stele, King Po Klong Garai Statue) and 28 historical - cultural relics and scenic spots ranked at the national level.
Not only does Khanh Hoa have classified tangible heritages, it is also proud of its rich folk art and literature treasure, containing knowledge and great cultural values of the people over thousands of years of history. This is an invaluable resource, contributing to creating a unique identity for this land.
In order to ensure management and meet people's needs, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province, has directed specialized agencies to review and adjust information on tangible and intangible cultural heritages according to the new administrative boundaries.
This is an important step to preserve, promote and more effectively introduce the unique heritage values of Khanh Hoa to domestic and foreign friends.
