VBI was established in 2008, is a unit under VietinBank, currently owns a network of 45 member companies, more than 1,400 employees and 25,000 agents nationwide.
Since 2016, VBI has been one of the first insurance companies to deploy electronic invoices, hospital fee guarantees, and online assessment and compensation via mobile applications.
Since then, technology and digital transformation have continued to be identified as key strategies to enhance customer experience and benefits.
Applying new technologies and modern approaches helps businesses better meet customer needs, while opening up new growth opportunities.
The company's insurance premium revenue in the first 5 months of 2025 reached more than 1.7 trillion VND, up 9.4% over the same period last year and completing 37% of the yearly plan; pre-tax profit increased by nearly 18%, reaching about 210 billion VND.
Last June, VietinBank Insurance was honored in 3rd place in the ranking of the most prestigious non-life insurance companies in Vietnam in 2025 announced by Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company.
