The “Fireworks Bay” program lights up the sky of Ha Long Bay with a nearly 15-minute fireworks display on weekends, attracting thousands of locals and tourists to the Ha Long International Port area. With a location facing the sea, the open space turns this place into an impressive outdoor stage, where the lights of fireworks blend with music , creating an unforgettable experience.
The two young people excitedly said: “Today, I feel very happy to watch the fireworks directly at a very close position. That feeling is very exciting, especially when watching with a special person. The feeling is very romantic.”
“Today I came with my family and friends to watch the fireworks. Even though I am from Quang Ninh , I still bought a ticket to come here. The fireworks are brilliant and beautiful, making me proud to be a Quang Ninh resident.”
Tickets to the "Fireworks Bay" event are 100,000 VND/person, free for children under 1 meter tall. By the end of July, visitors can enjoy a discounted price of 65,000 VND/ticket.
Unlike other fireworks events that are usually only held on holidays and Tet, “Fireworks Bay” will take place periodically on weekends, opening up more frequent opportunities for locals and tourists to enjoy. This is also a new highlight in the night tourism development strategy of Quang Ninh province.
Mr. Nguyen Lam Nguyen, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province, said: “Quang Ninh province has actively developed night tourism products such as night cruise streets, coastal cuisine, art performances in Ngoc Rong cave... and now weekly fireworks. This product will contribute to enriching the night experiences for tourists, thereby helping the Quang Ninh tourism industry increase its competitiveness.”
Locals and tourists eagerly watch "Fireworks Bay" right on the shore of Ha Long Bay heritage.
To participate in the program, residents and tourists buy tickets for 100,000 VND/person, children under 1 meter are free. In particular, from July 4-31, the preferential price is only 65,000 VND/person. Organizing "Fireworks Bay" is an effort of Quang Ninh and businesses to stimulate tourism, create unique products, contributing to the province's goal of welcoming 20 million visitors in 2025, including 4.5 million international visitors.
The fireworks display lasted nearly 15 minutes, lighting up the sky of Ha Long Bay.
"Fireworks Bay" is expected to be a boost to promote the night-time economy, attracting tourists to Quang Ninh.
The fireworks art program is held regularly every Friday and Saturday evening, lasting until the end of 2025.
