'Steel flowers' bloom on the training ground

TPO - Away from home, facing harsh weather and high training intensity, the "steel flowers" still steadfastly maintain their spirit, stick to the formation, and train their physical strength. For them, it is not only a duty, but also a great honor to participate in the parade and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (mission A80) with deep love and pride.

Under the scorching sun, the steam rising from the cement floor made many people afraid to go out. However, in the midst of those harsh hot days, the female soldiers of the People's Public Security Forces, the Special Police Force and the Traffic Police Force, were still diligently practicing to prepare for the A80 event.

The "steel flowers" shared with Tien Phong reporter about their training process, wanting to have "calluses" to prevent blisters on their feet, and their resilience when wearing armor.

Female warriors in training.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Van - a girl from the Mekong Delta, Dong Thap , is currently a soldier in the female special police force. When assigned to distribute flags for the force, Ms. Van did not think that the job would require so much endurance.

The summer heat in Hanoi makes my whole body feel like it’s about to fall apart. “The weather is so different from the South, and the training is so hard, and every time I travel from the training ground to the training location, I get quite tired. But I always tell myself to keep trying, because this is a great honor,” Van said.

Behind that tanned face and determined eyes is a heart full of love for her family. At the end of each week, Van calls her parents. They tell her, "Hang in there, you'll be home in two months." That simple encouragement is the silent flame that keeps her standing firm in the scorching heat of the training ground.

Also coming from the South to Hanoi for training is Nguyen Thi Yen Trang, a member of the Traffic Police. The first days of exposure to the harsh sunlight of the North made Trang exhausted many times.

“Lying in formation takes up a lot of physical strength. My feet were blistered, bleeding, and painful to the point that I just wanted to sit down. But then I learned how to overcome it so that my feet gradually became calloused and the pain lessened,” Yen Trang shared.

Every day, Trang drinks lemonade to stay strong and alert. But what she remembers most is not the painful moments, but the emotional moments between teammates. That is when friends share bandages, give each other cold water bottles, or simply pat each other on the shoulder to encourage when tired.

"It was that concern that touched me the most, and thanks to that I was able to overcome it," Yen Trang shared.

As for Pham Thi Thuy Trang from Dak Lak (formerly), a soldier of the female Special Police force, she once participated in the parade in mission A50. But for Thuy Trang, her return in A80 was a completely different experience.

“We have gone through rigorous military training before, but this time everything was tougher. There were training sessions where many of us fainted because we were so tired. However, no one gave up,” Thuy Trang shared.

Thuy Trang had to practice in a special forces suit that was heavy and hot, and had to travel long distances.

“It was overwhelming and exhausting, but I had to carry it through to the end. The calls home in the evening were a way for me to ease my longing and gain more confidence. My parents told me to keep going, to try harder, and then when I got home, they would cook my favorite dish,” Thuy Trang happily said.

Beauty on the field.

Every step, every determined look on the training ground is a testament to the steely spirit of female police officers in peacetime. They not only represent the image of modern, brave and resilient women, but are also a living symbol for the younger generation, always ready to contribute to the common mission.

Practicing in the scorching sun, overcoming minor injuries and salty sweat, the girls and thousands of other comrades are silently writing the heroic epic of youth.

No need for flowery words or flashy cameras, they are carrying out a sacred mission: Contributing to making a great national holiday, with their own footsteps of pride and passionate patriotism.

On the afternoon of July 9, leaders and Youth Union of the Mobile Police Command visited and encouraged the A80 parade groups at the A80 Command Center, Hanoi National University, Hoa Lac campus, Hanoi.

At this national event, nearly 6,000 People's Public Security soldiers were mobilized. The Ministry of Public Security assigned the Mobile Police Command (K02) to organize training for 24 marching and marching units. Training began on May 5 and took place at 7 locations.
