Hanoi arranges places to avoid rain and sun for people to watch parades and marches

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed an official dispatch requesting ministries, branches and localities to strengthen work to ensure safety, security, order, environmental sanitation and health during the National Day holiday on September 2.

The Prime Minister requested leaders of ministries, branches and localities to direct functional agencies to be on duty regularly, with leaders in charge responsible for ensuring creative, effective and timely handling of situations, especially complex issues that arise. The Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense directed functional forces to increase patrols, promptly detect, prevent and strictly handle cases of disturbing security and order; causing disorder and traffic safety, and resisting law enforcement officers.

The Prime Minister requested to absolutely ensure security and safety for people, especially at places where commemorative activities take place nationwide, protect independence and sovereignty in cyberspace, and fight to prevent bad and toxic information on social networking platforms.

The Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense closely coordinate with relevant agencies to promptly detect and strictly handle acts of taking advantage of commemorative activities to cause disturbances that disrupt public order, security, safety and security. Medical teams are on standby to provide emergency care at all locations where commemorative activities take place.

The Ministry of Health shall preside over and coordinate with relevant ministries, agencies and localities to ensure medical work during the celebration activities; mobilize medical facilities, arrange and organize medical staff and workers appropriately to organize medical teams on duty for emergency care throughout the duration and at all locations of the celebration activities; ensure adequate medicine, supplies, equipment and ambulances; direct a number of medical examination and treatment facilities to prepare hospital beds for situations, especially during the celebration, parade and march.

The Prime Minister assigned the Hanoi People's Committee to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to ensure adequate toilets and garbage collection areas and increase sanitation capacity, creating a clean, safe and civilized space during the holidays; strengthen propaganda work and raise people's awareness of environmental sanitation. In particular, the Hanoi People's Committee needs to arrange places for people to rest, avoid rain and sun when going to public places, and provide free bread, drinks, umbrellas, etc.

The Prime Minister called on people nationwide to join hands to strictly implement legal regulations on traffic safety, fire safety, hygiene, environment... to avoid jostling and pushing; to ensure a safe and happy day on the occasion of the nation's Independence Day.
