Mr. Duong Anh Duc is the Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

On the morning of August 25, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a ceremony to award decisions to cadres.

Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee decided to assign and appoint Mr. Duong Anh Duc - member of the Standing Committee, permanent deputy head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee - as Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. The term of office is 5 years.

Mr. Duong Anh Duc was born on August 24, 1968, his hometown is Hai Chau district, Da Nang . Mr. Duc has the degree of associate professor of information technology and doctorate in mathematics.

Mr. Duc has a long history of working in the education sector. He has been associated with Ho Chi Minh City since 1990.

He was a lecturer at Ho Chi Minh City University of Science, vice principal of the University of Natural Sciences , Ho Chi Minh City National University, principal of the University of Information Technology, and vice director of Ho Chi Minh City National University.

He then became director of the Department of Information and Communications and was elected vice chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

In May 2024, he was mobilized, assigned, and appointed as Secretary of District 1 Party Committee.

In July 2025, after implementing the policy of merging the provincial level and organizing 2-level local government (abolishing the district level), the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee decided to establish the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department and Mr. Duc was assigned and appointed as the permanent deputy head of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.

Mr. Duc was later appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

Previously, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee decided to transfer Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - member of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - to work at the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, holding the position of Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
