In the context of increasingly sophisticated forms of financial fraud, VietinBank - one of the pioneering banks in digital transformation has just launched an instant fraud warning feature on the VietinBank iPay Mobile application, to enhance account protection and enhance the safety experience for users.
Accordingly, from July 2025, when transferring money via the VietinBank iPay Mobile application, the system will automatically check the recipient's account and send a warning if it detects one of the following three signs of suspected risk: The recipient's information does not match the data from the National Population Database; The account is on the warning list from competent authorities; The recipient's account is suspected of having unusual signs (unusually large transactions, receiving money from many suspicious accounts...).
Through these warnings, customers will promptly grasp the safety level of the recipient's account and proactively decide whether to continue the transaction or not. The system only provides risk warning information to customers, does not interfere with or block any transactions.
To experience the new feature, customers need to update the VietinBank iPay Mobile application to the latest version.
In addition, VietinBank also recommends that customers need to be vigilant, not click on strange links, not provide security information such as ID card photo, username, password, OTP code or personal invoice via email/text message.
VietinBank is committed to accompanying customers on the digital transformation journey, while constantly innovating to build a transparent, secure and convenient transaction environment.
