Da Nang hands over 15 new houses to poor households in Tra Giap and Tra Tan communes

DNO - On the morning of August 14, Da Nang City Police coordinated with the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade and the authorities of Tra Giap and Tra Tan communes to hand over 15 new houses to poor Ca Dong households of Tra Tan and Tra Giap communes.

The houses were built with the support of the Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade ( VietinBank ) with the amount of 100 million VND/house, along with more than 1,000 working days of officers and soldiers of the city police.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Sen, one of the households receiving a house on this occasion, was excited: "My old house was previously eroded by a storm, so I had to build a temporary house to live in. Now, VietinBank has supported us with 100 million VND and the city and commune police have helped us build a new house. My family is very happy. Now that we have a solidly built house, we don't have to worry about storms this year anymore."

Speaking at the house handover ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Xuan Hoang, Deputy Director of the City Police, said that this is an activity of the Da Nang City Police in response to the Central Government's campaign to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.

Up to now, the City Police force has supported more than 1,330 working days to transport construction materials to the construction site, helping each household save from 10 to 15 million VND. In addition, the City Police also mobilized additional support for construction costs from socialized sources with a total amount of more than 60 million VND.

This is an activity to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day, the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2).

At the handover ceremony, the City Police and VietinBank presented many gifts to the poor people here.

It is known that, in response to the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses of Da Nang city, VietinBank supported 5 billion VND with the City Police to register to build 50 new houses for ethnic minorities in the communes: Song Kon, Song Vang, Phuoc Hiep, Phuoc Nang, Tra Tan and Tra Giap.
