According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the next 12-24 hours, the low pressure area currently operating in the sea east of the Philippines will move into the sea east of the North East Sea and is likely to strengthen into a tropical depression.

Due to the influence of the low pressure circulation (which may later strengthen into a tropical depression) around August 27-28, the northern and central areas of the East Sea (including the Hoang Sa special zone) will have increasingly strong winds and bad weather. Ships operating in the above areas need to take proactive precautions to ensure safety.

Mr. Hoang Phuc Lam, Deputy Director of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, said that from now until the end of August 2025, the North will have many more rainy days.

The reason is that after the rain caused by the circulation of storm No. 5 as above, there is the appearance of a tropical convergence zone connecting to the low pressure area. At this time, rain may appear interspersed with sunshine, not continuous rain as when affected by the storm.

In the next 12-24 hours, floods on Thao River and downstream Ma River will drop to alert level 2 - alert level 3.

Warning from now until August 27, floods on small rivers, floods on Hoang Long River continue to rise to alert level 3; upstream Ca River continues to fall to alert level 1 - alert level 2; floods on Luc Nam River rise above alert level 2; floods downstream Ca River rise above alert level 1.

High risk of flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, flash floods on small rivers and streams and landslides on steep slopes in Lao Cai, Phu Tho, Bac Ninh , Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An provinces. Level of natural disaster risk due to floods is level 2 - 3.

Floods on rivers cause flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, affecting activities such as water transport, aquaculture, agricultural production, people's lives and socio-economic activities.
