Bustling construction scene during September 2nd holiday at Long Thanh airport project.
During the days when the whole country is looking forward to celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the atmosphere at the Long Thanh International Airport Project is also bustling, the construction pace is maintained urgently and continuously day and night.
According to the Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV), the entire project is being organized in a "3-shift, 4-shift" manner, "throughout holidays, through Tet, through days off".

During this year's National Day holiday, nearly 14,000 experts, engineers, workers and about 3,000 machines were mobilized, deploying hundreds of construction sites simultaneously.

Key items such as passenger terminals, runways, aircraft parking lots and technical infrastructure are all being accelerated.
In Component Project 3 - construction of essential works in the airport - there are currently 11 packages being deployed simultaneously. Of these, package 5.10 (construction and installation of equipment for the passenger terminal, the most important item of phase 1) mobilized nearly 6,000 workers and machinery, maintaining continuous construction throughout the holiday.
To date, the passenger terminal has completed the reinforced concrete structure of the underground part and 4 above-ground floors. At the same time, the installation of steel structure, glass wall support frame and rough construction are also basically completed. Construction units are focusing on finishing the floor, ceiling and tiling.

Many important operating equipment of the terminal such as baggage handling system (BHS), aircraft landing system (VDGS), escalators, and pedestrian stairs (ES/MW) have also been transported to the site and installed.

Not only the passenger terminal, other items such as internal port traffic, technical infrastructure, fuel supply system, connecting traffic, aircraft parking, second runway, and cargo terminal are all mobilized by the joint venture contractors with thousands of human resources and machinery to speed up construction.
According to VTC News reporters, thousands of workers and engineers worked diligently under high-pressure lights, with the sound of machinery constantly bustling.
Many construction teams are simultaneously deployed at the passenger terminal, runway, aircraft parking lot and technical infrastructure. The working atmosphere is urgent and rushed, lasting from day to night, all to ensure progress and bring this national key project to the finish line on time.
The investor and contractors aim to basically complete the project before December 19, 2025, inaugurate phase 1 and put it into commercial operation in the first half of 2026 as directed by the Prime Minister .
According to ACV, workers participating in construction during the holidays will be paid by the contractor according to regulations. The investor will arrange for staff to be on duty, supervise, and ensure safe and quality construction.
