On the afternoon of August 31, Comrade Zhao Leji, member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China, led a high-ranking delegation of the Chinese Party and State to Hanoi, starting an official visit to Vietnam; attending the ceremony, parade, and march to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the success of the August Revolution and Vietnam's National Day on September 2; and co-chairing the first meeting of the Cooperation Committee between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National People's Congress of China at the invitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man.
