CAHN updates Hanoi's road closure schedule on September 1 to serve the A80 grand ceremony. Road closure and traffic diversion time: Starting from 10pm on September 1 to 1pm on September 2

According to Hanoi City Police, the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam will take place from 6:30 a.m. on September 2.

To ensure traffic order and safety, prevent traffic jams, facilitate and serve the travel needs of people and activities serving the program, Hanoi City Police Department announces traffic flow and organizes directions for vehicles as follows:

Time of complete ban, temporary ban, and restriction of traffic on some roads: Starting from 10pm on September 1st to 1pm on September 2nd. The road ban schedule is delayed by 4 hours compared to the previous plan.

Routes are strictly prohibited for all vehicles:

Hoang Hoa Tham, Thuy Khue (from Hung Vuong to Van Cao), Mai Xuan Thuong, Quan Thanh, Phan Dinh Phung, Hung Vuong, Thanh Nien, Hoang Van Thu, Doc Lap, Dien Bien Phu, Ba Huyen Thanh Quan, Chua Mot Cot, Le Hong Phong, Ong Ich Khiem, Ngoc Ha, Bac Son, Ton That Dam, Nguyen Canh Chan, Hoang Dieu, Nguyen Tri Phuong, Chu Van An, Ton Duc Thang, Cat Linh, Trinh Hoai Duc, Hang Chao, Tran Phu, Son Tay, Kim Ma, Lieu Giai, Van Cao, Nghi Tam, Yen Phu, Cua Bac, Doi Can, Doc La-Pho, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Le Duan, Tran Nhan Tong (from Le Duan to Quang Trung), Trang Thi, Hang Khay, Trang Tien, Co Tan, Phan Chu Trinh (from Hai Ba Trung to Trang Tien); Le Thanh Tong, Tong Dan (from Ly Dao Thanh to Trang Tien), Tran Quang Khai, Tran Khanh Du, Quang Trung (from Ly Thuong Kiet to Trang Thi), Ly Thai To, Nguyen Huu Huan, Ngo Quyen (from State Bank Square to Trang Tien), Giang Vo, Lang Ha, Lang (from Lang Ha to Tran Duy Hung).

Routes temporarily banned by vehicle type:

Routes inside Ring Road 1 (except routes with strict bans): temporarily banned for all types of vehicles (except vehicles with security badges, vehicles serving celebrations, vehicles with priority rights, vehicles performing official duties, buses, garbage collection vehicles, and vehicles handling incidents).

Routes in the area from Ring Road 1 to Ring Road 2 (except for routes with strict bans): temporary ban for trucks with a total designed weight of 1.5 tons or more, passenger cars with 16 seats or more (except for vehicles with security badges, vehicles serving celebrations, vehicles with priority rights, vehicles performing official duties, buses, garbage collection vehicles, vehicles handling and troubleshooting).

Routes recommended for traffic participants to limit traffic:

Routes in the area from Ring Road 2 to Ring Road 3: Restrict traffic for passenger transport vehicles with less than 16 seats, private cars, and motorbikes.

Routes in the area from Ring Road 1 to Ring Road 2: Restricted traffic for vehicles.

For some routes from Ring Road 3 towards the suburban area (including: National Highway 32, Cau Dien, Ho Tung Mau, Le Duc Tho, Le Quang Dao, Thang Long Boulevard, Lang Van Hoa Street, National Highway 21A, Ho Chi Minh Road, National Highway 6, Quang Trung, Tran Phu, Nguyen Trai, Provincial Road 419, Provincial Road 429, Vo Nguyen Giap, National Highway 18): Restrict traffic for vehicles (except buses, garbage collection vehicles, vehicles for handling and fixing incidents, vehicles with security badges, vehicles serving the celebration).

Do not stop or park vehicles on roads where traffic is prohibited or temporarily prohibited.

During the time of road closures and vehicle restrictions, how do vehicles move?

During the celebration, road closures and vehicle restrictions will be implemented in key areas. To ensure smooth traffic flow, vehicles are requested to comply with the following guidelines:

Cars temporarily banned from traveling from National Highway 5, Hanoi - Bac Giang Expressway, Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway in the direction of Cau Gie - Ninh Binh Expressway will be directed to move through Thanh Tri Bridge, then continue onto the elevated Ring Road III, through Do Muoi intersection to enter Cau Gie - Ninh Binh Expressway.

For vehicles from the Eastern provinces such as Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh traveling to the Northern, Western or Northwestern provinces such as Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, they can choose one of the following two routes: follow Phu Dong bridge, cross Thanh Tri bridge, go up to the elevated Ring Road III, cross Thang Long bridge and enter Vo Van Kiet route; or from National Highway 5, turn onto Nguyen Duc Thuan, cross Thanh Tri bridge approach road, go to Phu Dong bridge to get to Hanoi - Bac Giang expressway and continue onto Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway to reach the northern mountainous provinces.

Vehicles from northern provinces such as Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho wanting to go to southern provinces such as Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa will travel along the route: National Highway 2, onto Vo Van Kiet route, across Thang Long bridge, onto elevated Ring Road III, through Do Muoi intersection to enter Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway.

For trucks with a total weight of 10 tons or more, when traveling on the elevated Ring Road III, they will be restricted from turning down to intersections on routes such as Pham Van Dong, Pham Hung, Khuat Duy Tien, Nguyen Xien. Drivers must strictly follow the direction and guidance of the authorities.

Hanoi police recommend that people from other provinces and cities coming to the capital to attend the event should use public transport, especially the elevated train. Line 2A Cat Linh - Ha Dong (from Yen Nghia station to Cat Linh station) and Line 3 Nhon - Hanoi station (from Nhon station to Cau Giay station) are convenient options. In addition, people can walk on some streets in Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Cua Nam, Hai Ba Trung, Giang Vo, Ngoc Ha wards and the area around Ba Dinh Square.

Authorities ask people to follow instructions, stay on the sidewalks, and not crowd or spill onto the street, obstructing the parade. At the end of the event, everyone should leave in an orderly manner and follow the instructions of authorities.
