Each gift is worth more than 2.7 million VND, including household items, kitchenware, necessities and personal hygiene packages. The total value of 300 gifts is 825.6 million VND. The activity aims to support people to quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters and stabilize their lives after the flood.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Huynh Thi Thanh An, Vice President of the Danang Union of Friendship Organizations, thanked Samaritan's Purse for its practical and long-term contributions to the locality. She hoped that the organization would continue to accompany and implement new projects in the city's disadvantaged areas in the coming time. At the same time, she asked the supported households to effectively use the gifts to stabilize their lives and restore their livelihoods.
According to the Organizing Committee, on June 11, storm No. 1 (storm WUTIP) caused prolonged heavy rain in Quang Nam province (formerly), now Da Nang city, causing 725 houses to be flooded, thousands of hectares of rice and crops such as watermelon, green beans, chili, corn, etc. to be submerged. A quick local report said that the total area of crops and rice affected was about 2,700 hectares.

Samaritan's Purse is an American non-governmental organization operating in Vietnam since 1996, focusing on the areas of: livelihoods, health,education , clean water and sanitation, relief and anti-human trafficking projects. The organization has long-term cooperative relationships with many localities in Vietnam, especially in Quang Nam province (formerly) and now Da Nang city.
Since 2016, Samaritan's Purse has implemented a series of projects in this area, typically: the project "Children are exposed to and encouraged to practice hygiene behaviors in the classroom" phase 2022-2023; the project "Livelihood of Tra Kot commune" phase 2023-2024; and the program "Unboxing to welcome joy" in 2025.
