According to the authorities, in the new situation, subjects use modern high-tech machinery, 3D printing technology, AI and deepfake to create fake products that are difficult to distinguish with the naked eye in terms of packaging, labels, and anti-counterfeit stamps.

Technology software will create fake images and videos to advertise counterfeit and infringing goods as real. Use technology to DeepFake celebrities to promote counterfeit products and infringing goods, use chatbots or AI to write fake reviews, impersonate genuine brands to respond to customers.

In e-commerce activities, subjects apply digital technology to analyze the market, detect policy or algorithm loopholes of e-commerce platforms to display counterfeit goods without being detected. Fake sales websites that are identical to genuine websites, direct consumers to buy counterfeit goods and use AI to bypass fraud detection systems in transactions.

At the same time, use technology software to create fake invoices, certificates, and inspections to create trust for users and deceive the authorities. Therefore, traders use Metaverse as a tool to trade in counterfeit goods and goods that infringe intellectual property rights, such as building a store in Metaverse as a reputable brand, using logos, interfaces, and advertising images similar to the original.
