On July 8, the People's Committee of Hoa Xuan Ward ( Da Nang City) had an initial report regarding the incident where people complained that vermicelli changed color from white to red.

Accordingly, after receiving a request from the Food Safety Management Board of Da Nang City, the People's Committee of Hoa Xuan Ward directed relevant departments to verify and handle the matter.

Through verification from Ms. VTL (the complainant), her family bought noodles at retail household P.. Ms. P. said she got noodles from the business household owned by Mr. H. to sell.

Working with the working group, Mr. H. confirmed that he had sold the above noodles on July 6. During the working process, it was determined that Mr. H.'s food safety certificate had expired.

The People's Committee of Hoa Xuan Ward has directed relevant units to take samples of the red vermicelli as reported and send them for testing. At the same time, Mr. H's household is required to temporarily stop producing vermicelli until the test results and permission from the authorities are available.

As previously reported by Tuoi Tre Online , Ms. VTL (living in Hoa Xuan ward, Da Nang) reported that at around 9am on July 6, her husband went to Hoa Chau market to buy 15,000 VND worth of fresh noodles to eat. The family had eaten earlier and left a portion of fresh noodles for their son who was away from home.

This noodle part is placed in a plastic basket, stored in a cool, dry place.

At around 9pm the same day, Mrs. L. took out the noodles and discovered that many of the noodles had turned from white to red. The noodles were soft and had a high moisture content.

Ms. L. left the noodles and continued to monitor. By the morning of July 7, the remaining noodles had completely changed color. When dipping the noodles in water, the water also turned red.

Ms. L. brought the remaining noodles to complain to the seller at Hoa Chau market.
