At around 7:50 a.m., a middle-aged female driver was driving a 4-seater Toyota on Tran Dai Nghia Street. When reaching the intersection of Tran Dai Nghia and Dai La, the car showed signs of swerving, revved up, and crashed into a series of motorbikes traveling in the same direction.

Motorbikes were pushed on top of each other, and injured people were scattered about 30 meters on Tran Dai Nghia Street. The Toyota car only stopped when it hit an old royal poinciana tree in front of house number 241 Tran Dai Nghia.

At least 7 ambulances were dispatched to the scene to take the injured to the emergency room.

At the scene, the 4-seat car's airbags deployed and the front end was split open after hitting a tree.

The female driver panicked and was consoled by some people. The husband said his wife had been suffering from insomnia for many days before the accident.
