On July 8, speaking with Tuoi Tre Online , a representative of Vietluxtour said that in the first 6 months of 2025, the number of Russian visitors at Vietluxtour increased by 18% compared to the same period last year.
According to Vietluxtour, the reason why the number of Russian tourists to Vietnam has shown positive signs of increasing again may be because direct flights from Hanoi to Moscow officially resumed in early May after a 3-year hiatus.

"Therefore, Vietnamese destinations such as Lam Dong beach, Nha Trang beach, Phu Quoc beach... will be ideal destinations for the winter vacation season at the end of the year for this tourist market," Ms. Thu predicted.

According to a tourism expert in Ho Chi Minh City, most Russian tourists come to Vietnam with package tours and direct flights, spending time relaxing and experiencing the culture with a trip that can last from 7-12 days.
"In terms of spending, Russian tourists are still willing to use high-end services at hotels and resorts and are especially interested in cuisine, spa treatments, entertainment and local souvenirs. All at reasonable costs, safe for family travel. These things attract, retain and spread the Russian international tourist market."
Meanwhile, explaining the reason for the sharp increase in Russian tourists, the Vietnam National Tourism Administration attributed it to the policy of exempting short-term visas for citizens of Poland, the Czech Republic, and the Swiss Confederation under the 2025 tourism stimulus program.

According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, in terms of growth drivers in the first 6 months of 2025, major markets in the Asian region are the main drivers for the growth in international visitors, with China leading the market with an increase of 44.2% over the same period in 2024.
In addition, nearby markets in Southeast Asia grew well, such as Indonesia up 11.2%, the Philippines up more than 100%.
In particular, a series of markets in Europe witnessed growth results, of which Russia was the largest market with 260,000 arrivals and also had the strongest increase of more than 139%.
In 2025, tourism experts predict that Vietnam could welcome about 430,000 Russian visitors in the whole year of 2025, which is nearly double compared to the previous year.
