Northern pig price
The live hog market in the Northern region continues to maintain a stable state today. Most provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, Lang Son, Tuyen Quang, Thai Nguyen, Cao Bang, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Yen Bai ... all recorded a common price of 68,000 VND/kg.
Hai Phong, in particular, continued to maintain a slightly higher price, at 69,000 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous day. The difference was not large, reflecting that supply and demand in the region were still balanced, not causing strong fluctuations.
The stable price level over the past several days shows that the Northern market is entering a "quiet" period - the psychology of livestock breeders and traders is also quite cautious in adjusting supply to the market.

Pig price in Central region
In the Central Highlands region, the price of live pigs today has not changed significantly compared to yesterday. Provinces such as Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh , Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai all maintained the level of 67,000 - 68,000 VND/kg.
Gia Lai, which has had the lowest price in the country for many weeks, remains stable at 65,000 VND/kg.
Some other Central Highlands localities such as Dak Lak and Lam Dong also continued to record prices from 67,000 - 69,000 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous session.
Pork prices in this area are reflecting the fact that pork consumption has not shown any signs of a breakthrough, especially in the context of hot weather causing demand in retail channels and household consumption to not increase strongly.
Southern pig price
Compared to the North and Central regions, the South today is the only region that recorded price reductions at many important locations. Specifically:
Ho Chi Minh City, Ca Mau, Dong Nai all decreased by 1,000 VND/kg, currently trading around 69,000 VND/kg
Provinces such as An Giang, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, and Can Tho City still maintain the price of 68,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.
Ben Tre and Long An recorded no fluctuations, common prices from 68,000 - 69,000 VND/kg
Although the decrease is not large, it is a notable sign for large consuming localities such as Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai. Many experts believe that the current decline may continue if purchasing power does not improve in the coming weeks, especially from retail chains, restaurants and industrial processing markets.
According to the report on the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of the year just announced by the Phu Tho Statistics Office (new), the livestock situation in the province in the first 6 months of the year developed stably, the total livestock herd reached a high level, and disease control work was carried out effectively.
Phu Tho Statistics Office said the province currently has about 1.8 million pigs, up 1.97% over the same period; poultry herd reached 24.63 million, up slightly 2.04%; buffalo and cow herd alone is about 416,400, down 4.72%.
In the first half of the year, the province's output of live weight meat reached 244,400 tons, up 2.92%. Of which, the output of the old Phu Tho province reached 114,300 tons, Vinh Phuc reached 71,200 tons, and Hoa Binh reached 59,600 tons.
