In the first 6 months of 2025, trade and service activities in Yen Bai ward maintained stable growth; total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue, including transportation, post and telecommunications, is estimated at VND 8,206 billion.

Regarding tourism , the ward welcomed 93,615 visitors, with revenue reaching 88.82 billion VND.
Notably, market management has been strengthened with a focus on checking and controlling the quality of goods and food hygiene and safety; promptly preventing the trade of counterfeit, smuggled, poor quality, and unknown origin goods, along with unquarantined livestock and poultry products.
The ward government also organized many activities to support businesses and business households such as dialogues, guidance on administrative procedures, and creating favorable conditions for industry development. The relocation of small traders from Dong Tam Market (old) to Km4 Central Market was implemented as planned, ensuring safety and efficiency.

Yen Bai Ward also promotes the application of e-commerce and cashless payments in many areas, such as: collecting fees, charges, tuition, hospital fees, electricity and water bills, paying allowances for non-professional staff and extra-budgetary funds.
Currently, in the ward, 91.8% of adults use non-cash payments; 94% of business households are equipped with electronic payment devices; 87.82% of households pay electricity bills and 85% of households pay water bills online.
In the coming time, Yen Bai ward will continue to develop trade and services in a civilized, professional and modern direction; focus on trade promotion, product promotion and improving the quality of activities at commercial centers and traditional markets.
In addition, the ward also advocates attracting capable and experienced investors to develop typical types of tourism, such as spiritual and cultural tourism and entertainment.

Yen Bai Ward aims to reach total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue of VND16,250 billion by the end of 2025; welcoming over 113,800 tourists with revenue of about VND108 billion .
