Street vendors re-enacting and soliciting customers
According to records, in the areas of the roads around Han market, Con Ga church (Tran Phu, Bach Dang...), Love bridge area (Tran Hung Dao), the area along the coastal route of Hoang Sa - Vo Nguyen Giap, Ha Bong, Ho Nghinh, Duong Dinh Nghe..., the situation of street vendors (motorbikes, small trucks) appearing densely with many forms of trading from fruits (durian), dumplings, fried fish balls... to handicrafts and utensils.
On Son Tra peninsula (Hoang Sa street from Ho Xanh - Intercontinental hotel) there are many street vendors (key chains, fruit carts, drink carts, food carts, dumpling carts...) concentrated at 3 locations: the parking area on Hoang Sa street south of Linh Ung pagoda, the parking area near the ranger station and the coconut row area near the Intercontinental hotel.
Similar situations occurred in An Thuong tourist street, some people even brought menus into shops, soliciting people and tourists to use their services. Meanwhile, at APEC park, the situation of following and soliciting customers occurred every time cruise tourists came to Da Nang . Although the authorities arranged barriers for tourists, the subjects still held schedules and service programs on both sides of the fence to solicit or followed to solicit services after the tourists left the fence area.
Not only street vendors, the situation of wandering beggars and beggars in disguise appears a lot in restaurant areas, eateries with a lot of tourists on Ho Nghinh, Vo Nguyen Giap, Tran Hung Dao, Duong Dinh Nghe, Nguyen Van Thoai, Chuong Duong, Nguyen Tat Thanh, Ngo Van So, Hoang Thi Loan, Ngo Thi Nham, Yen Bai , Ngo Gia Tu streets...
According to the authorities, street vending activities are becoming increasingly complicated. The subjects use personal vehicles to continuously move through the areas to trade and solicit customers while the limited force makes it difficult to completely solve the problem.
Resolutely handle and maintain destination image
According to Mr. Tan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the coming time, the department will direct the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches to strengthen the work of ensuring security and order within the scope of management; coordinate with local units and functional forces to organize, review and inspect the handling of street vending activities; at the same time, inform the competent authorities about the situation of vagrants and beggars in disguise for handling in the Son Tra Peninsula area and along the two coastal routes of Nguyen Tat Thanh Street and the coastal route of Hoang Sa - Vo Nguyen Giap - Truong Sa.
At the same time, propagate and advise tourists not to use products and services that do not guarantee quality from street vendors, and not to give money or gifts to beggars and disguised beggars.
To thoroughly resolve this situation, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed that the city direct departments, branches, sectors and localities to resolutely handle street vendors and soliciting tourists, maintaining the image of the destination, especially during the peak tourist season. Specifically, assign relevant units to proactively and seriously implement the direction of the City People's Committee on strengthening security and order, preserving the image of the city's tourist destination.
