Announcement of staff work of Da Nang Statistical Office

On July 8, the General Statistics Office (Ministry of Finance) held a ceremony to announce the decision of the Director of the General Statistics Office on the work of statistical staff in Da Nang city. Attending the event were Director of the General Statistics Office Nguyen Thi Huong and Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh.

The conference announced the decision of the General Statistics Office on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Tran Van Vu, Head of the Da Nang Statistical Office, to the position of Chief Statistics Officer. At the same time, the leaders of the General Statistics Office announced the decisions on the transfer and appointment of 3 Deputy Chief Statistics Officers and Statistics Officers of Da Nang City.

From July 1, 2025, the Da Nang City Statistics Office will operate on the basis of merging the Da Nang City Statistics Office and the Quang Nam Provincial Statistics Office (old) with 5 departments and 16 local statistical teams.

In her speech assigning tasks, Director of the General Statistics Office Nguyen Thi Huong requested the leaders of the Da Nang City Statistics Office to proactively work with local Party committees and authorities to stabilize the headquarters, arrange working places and support essential conditions for professional activities of the unit and grassroots statistical teams in communes and wards.

The leaders of Da Nang City Statistics Office together with all civil servants and employees strictly follow the organizational assignment, maintain discipline and public ethics, promote the spirit of solidarity and mutual support at work.

Each civil servant must improve his/her professional qualifications, skills in using information technology, investigation methods, data processing and analysis, contributing to improving the quality of statistical products in the locality.

Speaking at the conference, Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh said that the statistics sector plays a very important role in planning socio -economic development policies for Da Nang in particular and the whole country in general.
