The 2025 unarmed combat sports festival for martial arts clubs across the army took place in Da Nang City from June 23 to July 4. The sports festival had 46 martial arts clubs across the army. Athletes compete in 2 age groups from 18 to 27 and over 27 to 35, in which men compete in 9 weight categories, women compete in 6 weight categories.

Major General La Cong Phuong, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Military Region 1, awarded certificates of merit to individuals of the Military Region's unarmed combat team.

For the Unarmed Combat Team of Military Region 1, there were 21 athletes and coaches participating in the competition in all weight categories for men and women. The team completed its mission well, achieving many high achievements, including 3 gold medals, 6 silver medals, 3 bronze medals and winning the second prize overall.

At the commendation conference, the Head of the Military Region 1 Command acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of all officers and soldiers participating in the sports festival; at the same time, requested: The functional agencies of the Military Region actively advise and propose solutions to improve the effectiveness of physical training and develop the sports movement at agencies and units; replicate advanced models and movement cores at the sports festival, promptly draw lessons from physical training and sports movements throughout the Military Region to create a source of high-performance athletes to continue to compete in the football, table tennis, badminton, and tennis competitions for the entire army in 2025.
