The sports festival has more than 1,000 athletes from 30 sports delegations of department-level units under the City Police, competing in 9 sports with 27 events, from June 23 to present.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee honored more than 100 athletes who won first, second, third and individual prizes for the following sports: People's Police Soldier, table tennis, chess, archery, billiards, pickleball, badminton...
The organizing committee also awarded prizes to the participating leaders, team sports such as: Tug of war, soccer, pickleball leadership and honored the excellent sports teams receiving the encouragement, third and second prizes. The overall championship went to the Criminal Enforcement and Judicial Support Police Department.
In his closing speech, Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Quyen, Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police and Head of the Organizing Committee of the Sports Festival, praised the brave competitive spirit, perseverance and dedication of the athletes.
Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Quyen affirmed that the sports festival is not only an opportunity to train physical strength and improve bravery, but also an opportunity to connect and strengthen the spirit of coordination between units in the entire force. “Many athletes have set new records, demonstrating their strong will, competing honestly and wholeheartedly for the team. Thereby, spreading the message of “Training the body, improving bravery - Being healthy to protect the security of the Fatherland”, said Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Quyen.
The sports festival has ended, but the spirit of competition and physical training will continue to spread throughout the force. Therefore, the Deputy Director of the City Police Department requested that units continue to maintain and develop the sports movement, associated with competition, discipline, improving the health and political qualities of officers and soldiers. This is an important foundation for the Capital Police force to excellently complete all assigned tasks.
