On July 9, a representative of Ha Long Sun Limited Liability Company, the fireworks display organizer in Bai Chay Ward ( Quang Ninh ), said that the company will stop organizing fireworks displays at the Ha Long International Passenger Port, and will not charge additional fees for viewing fireworks at nearby service businesses and tourists visiting Ha Long Bay every Friday and Saturday evening.

Previously, on July 1-2, Ha Long Sun Company Limited consecutively issued two official dispatches No. 108/2025/HLC-CV and 113/2025/HLC-CV requesting the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province to allow low-altitude and high-altitude fireworks displays in the area of Ha Long international passenger port and Sun Carnival square (Bai Chay ward) from 9-10 pm every Friday and Saturday; the socialized funding is sponsored by this Company.
On July 2, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province issued Official Letter No. 2260/UBND-VHXH agreeing to the proposal to set off fireworks by Ha Long Sun Company Limited. The fireworks display was held immediately after that, from July 4-5, attracting a large number of tourists.
However, the fireworks display with a fee of 50,000 VND/person for viewers at some service business locations that Ha Long Sun Limited Company leases to partners, especially the fee charged to visitors to Ha Long Bay on restaurant boats on Friday and Saturday nights (fireworks days), has caused many people to disagree, many of whom believe that this fee is unreasonable, causing service prices to increase during the peak tourist season ...
With this change, Ha Long Sun Company Limited will only organize fireworks displays at one location, Sun Carnival Square, every Friday and Saturday evening, from now until December 31./.
