Established in 2011 with 7 members and a charter capital of over 800 million VND, Son Thanh Safe Tea Cooperative was then just a small production model, facing many difficulties in both output and processing techniques.
However, with determination and innovative thinking, Ms. La Thi Tam, Director of the Cooperative, has led the collective to continuously learn and apply scientific and technical advances to all stages of production. From traditional tea beds, the Cooperative has gradually expanded its scale, improved its processes, and gradually brought Lung 2 tea to affirm its position in the market.
Up to now, the cooperative has developed an area of over 30 hectares (in association with local households); annual revenue reaches about 2 billion VND, creating a stable income of 8-12 million VND/person/month for members.
One of the factors contributing to the outstanding success of Son Thanh safe tea cooperative is the proactive investment in technology in the entire production chain from planting, caring, harvesting, processing to promoting and consuming products.
Currently, the cooperative owns 15 tea rolling machines and a modern stainless steel roasting system, helping the processing process to be convenient, preserving the natural flavor, and reducing labor.
The entire tea area is cultivated according to VietGAP standards, ensuring safety from the planting stage to the finished product. Not stopping there, the cooperative is building an organic tea production model on an area of 5 hectares, aiming to increase the value of clean tea, meeting the increasing demand of the market.

In particular, the cooperative is also a pioneer in applying digital technology to reach customers, choosing platforms such as TikTok and Shopee as the main sales channels with nearly ten thousand followers.
From depending on traditional distribution channels, which are time-consuming and costly, the cooperative can now directly sell more than 2 tons of tea per month, quickly connecting with consumers nationwide and gradually attracting international customers.
Product quality is the core factor that helps the cooperative affirm its position in the market. Currently, the cooperative has 4 products that have achieved OCOP certification, including: 2 3-star products: Moc Cau tea, Dinh Dinh tea and 2 4-star products: Special green tea, Shrimp tea buds.
Each product is the crystallization of raw material areas with assigned growing area codes, along with strict and synchronized care, harvesting and processing procedures. Thanks to that, the cooperative's tea is not only of high quality but also ensures traceability - an important factor in modern trade. These products have been sent to participate in agricultural fairs and exhibitions many times, creating a strong impression on consumers.
The cooperative develops 7 different tea product lines, along with tea by-products such as peanut candy and green tea candy, contributing to increasing the value of tea plants, while creating diversity and appeal in the market.

During the production process, the cooperative focuses on diversifying tea varieties to improve productivity and quality. The main varieties include: Midland tea (accounting for 50% of the area) with stable quality, well adapted to local climate and soil conditions; hybrid tea Phuc Van Tien, Long Van... with characteristic aroma, suitable for processing high-class tea lines.
Not stopping there, Son Thanh Safe Tea Cooperative is aiming to produce oolong tea, divided into 3 segments: specialty, premium, high-end. This is a strategic step to approach high-end customers, expand export market share and gradually build the brand.
Son Thanh Safe Tea Cooperative is a typical example of the right direction of modern agriculture, which is to closely link science and technology with safe production, while promoting the role of farmers in the value chain. Not only does it create stable jobs for its members, the cooperative also spreads the spirit of innovation, connection and sharing of production experience to many households in the region.
