With the province's drastic direction in implementing socio -economic development tasks, closely following the 2025 working theme "Breakthrough in economic development, creating momentum for the new term", the economic growth rate of GRDP in the first 6 months of 2025 of Quang Ninh province reached a growth rate of 11.03% over the same period last year.
Economic structure: Agriculture, forestry and fishery sector increased by 4.61%; Industry and construction sector increased by 11.48%; Service sector increased by 13.03%; Product tax minus product subsidy increased by 6.19%. GRDP scale is estimated at 177.2 trillion VND.
Industrial production continues to be an important growth driver of the province, the industrial production index (IIP) in the first 6 months of 2025 increased by 15.07% over the same period last year. In particular, in the manufacturing and processing industry alone, the production index increased by 29.87% over the same period last year, with some highlights such as: Motor vehicle manufacturing increased by 262.04%; Other means of transport manufacturing increased by 117.96%; Electronic products, computers and optical products manufacturing increased by 80.09%...
Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the first 6 months increased by 18.1% over the same period. Since the beginning of the year, Quang Ninh has welcomed over 12 million tourists , up 16% over the same period, with total estimated tourism revenue of VND29,140 billion, up 31%.
In the first 6 months of 2025, the total investment capital implemented in the province is estimated at 51.4 trillion VND, an increase of 11% over the same period in 2024. The total FDI capital attracted in the province reached 292.01 million USD, equal to 18.8% of the same period. Of which, there were 12 projects newly granted investment registration certificates reaching 173.64 million USD and 10 projects adjusted to increase capital reaching 116.47 million USD.
Total state budget revenue in the first 6 months of 2025 is estimated at VND 30,057 billion, reaching 52% of the estimate and increasing by 3.2% over the same period last year. Of which, domestic revenue is estimated at VND 21,100 billion, revenue from import-export activities is estimated at VND 8,945 billion. Total local budget expenditure in the first 6 months is estimated at VND 12,383 billion, reaching 43% of the estimate, increasing by 43.1% over the same period in 2024. In the first 6 months of 2025, the whole province had 1,150 newly established enterprises, an increase of 22% over the same period, bringing the total number of enterprises operating in the province to 11,493.
At the press conference, representatives of local press agencies expressed their impression with the outstanding socio-economic indicators that Quang Ninh province has achieved in the first 6 months of 2025, and at the same time participated in clarifying information on socio-economic statistics of the province in the first 6 months of the year on a number of contents and fields: Tourism; development of processing and manufacturing industry; reciprocal tax policy; healthcare...
